Crowns and Roses is all about learning who GOD says we are. God gave me the name and said that women, we are like roses.
Roses have thorns, are delicate, yet are beautiful in bloom. Our thorns are our hard parts, the things we've been through, the mindsets, the messes, the hurts, the things that make us hard to touch, make us vulnerable. How do we grow and become the beautiful rose? We must bloom; how do we bloom? We get rooted in Jesus and he transforms us to be more like Him. He heals our thorns, our broken parts. We are like roses.
Psalm 103:15 as for man, his days are like grass - we bloom like a flower of the field;
Crowns - This comes from Jesus being the King of Kings. Kings wear crowns and the Bible says we are joint heirs with Christ. God is our Father in Heaven and we are to rule and reign in the earth. Who rules and reigns? Royal people. Royal people wear crowns. We are a royal priesthood.
Isaiah 62:3 You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
Our purpose and goal at Crowns and Roses isn’t just about makeup, it’s about a vision God gave me to also teach God’s daughters about their identity in Him, who He says we are, and how that looks to walk it out in our lives. It’s easy and great to learn who we are but it’s another thing to actively live it daily. Sometimes we have bad days. Sometimes we don’t want to do what’s right. Sometimes we don’t feel like praying.
Sometimes we do. Sometimes it’s really hard to get up and keep going. But we gotta keep going. It’s a daily walk, it’s a daily fight with our old selves and our enemy. Because once you accept Jesus, and begin a relationship with Him, you have officially signed up for God’s army. And war has been waged by the devil on you. Because he hates God, and since you have chosen to follow God, he now hates you. The Bible says we are in a war and that we don’t fight flesh and blood but we fight against principalities and demonic entities in the spirit that we cannot see.
So, to fight in our war, we have to know we are first, and two, we have to learn how to fight. Did you know that God has given us an armor to protect ourselves from our enemy? We also have tools and should know how to use those tools and use God’s word, which is the Sword of the Spirit, so we are better prepared for what comes. The bible says that the devil throws what's called fiery darts. So, learning God’s word and having tools on how to apply what God’s word says in our lives, is essential to our walk and our fight. And, it gets easier and each day if we just keep going, one foot in front of the other, it will be like something you do naturally. It’s like a muscle, if you exercise it, it gets stronger. If you don’t, it won’t grow and it won’t get stronger. And ultimately, if you’re not growing, you are not getting stronger. And to fight a good fight, you need to be strong. The word says, “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power”. Ephesians 6:10. So that means, you don’t do it alone! It means He give you, His power! So, this is our purpose at Crowns and Roses, to teach women, who God says we are! Special, Royal, chosen people.
One of the truths and tools that God has given us is in Luke 10:19, where Jesus says "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you". And so, as we learned above, we now know that we are in a fight. God has given us authority over our enemy. As we fight these battles against our enemy, we need to use the authority given to us. We can speak this scripture out loud as our words have power. Proverbs 18:21 tells us that "death and life are in the power of the tongue", so we need to use our words to exercise our power and our authority over the enemy and over every situation that does not line up with the Word of God. One of the mistakes the enemy makes is that he thinks we are unaware of his defeat that is given to us by Jesus. We may have been unaware before, but we are no longer are blind! Let's trample on the enemy, using our cute rhinestone heels like in the picture, or whatever, our glitter boots or our sparkly sandals. Whatever the footwear, let's take our authority back today and everyday!
This scripture tells us that God knew us even before He made us. He knew us and planned our lives before one day ever even occurred, even before our parents met, before we were ever born. He set us apart, made us distinct and different than others. He made plans for us to affect nations! How crazy is that? We may think our lives are small and insignificant, that we are insignificant, but God says differently. We need to realize who we are and how God sees us and thinks about us. He thought about us, before we were ever alive. That is so special. I hope we can let this truth saturate our hearts and minds to know how special we are to God, that He even thinks about us. Today and everyday remember just how special you truly are!
This verse tells us that we are the light of the world! A city on a hill that cannot be hidden! This means that we are a light to a dark world. We were made differently, to stand out. What does light do? It expels darkness for one. For two, it shows people where to go, especially when it's dark and you can't see where you're going. It helps you; it guides you to where you need to get to. This world needs Jesus. This world is so dark and it's dying. As the light of the world, we need to be our best, we need to study God's word and know who we are, so we can help show people who can save them. We are chosen to show people where to go. Show them Jesus. Let our actions and our hearts be true because we are going to shine and we cannot be hidden as the scripture says. We need to be a people who are walking the walk that we talk. I've heard it "let the audio match the visual" because like when you're watching a movie or something and the words aren't lining up with the video, it's confusing. We don't want to confuse an already lost people. We are to help guide them in the dark. So, let's show them Jesus through us, through are words, through our actions. Let's be bright lights! So today and everyday, let's be cities on hills for Jesus!
This scripture tells us who we actually are! God says that we are His CHOSEN people. We are ROYAL, God's special possession. We belong to God! This verse is so beautiful. It says that God called us out of darkness into His wonderful light. In the Bible it says that when Moses was up on a hill meeting with God, he came down and his face was radiating from being with God and in His presence. Just above, we learned that we are the light of the world. We are no longer in darkness, and that's why we are the light, because God has brought us to Himself. He chose us! How special it is to be chosen by God and that's who we are! Jesus is also the King of the World and Romans 8:17 says " And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory." This means that we get what God has. We get his spiritual blessings, and inheritance. We have the privileges as being God's kids! We are royal! We should be treated as such! Remember today and everyday who God says you are. Don't let anyone treat you any different than the princess, daughter of God that you are!
